For example, that time that I only shipped about 40,000 Simoleons worth of product and then laundered and withdrew 100,000 Simoleons-I went home, money freshly laundered, shipped out 5–10 units (around 20–40k Simoleons' worth), and the SWAT team still arrived a couple hours later. But what I've experienced multiple times is the SWAT Team still comes when I sell again right after laundering. The Basemental tutorial says when I launder money, my "dirty money" should go back to zero.

Your mouse will operate in data‑over‑cable mode whenever it is plugged in directly to a PC Full charge from empty requires around 2 hours plugged in to a PC USB port. To charge, disconnect the cable from the adapter and plug into the front of the mouse. Turn mouse on via the switch on the bottom of the mouse Needed solution: some kind of workaround or use of other Lua functions to seperate the 1st onEvent execution from the 2nd onEvent.A wireless receiver attached to the USB adapter can be found in the accessory box Plug one end of the cable into your PC, and the other end into the USB adapter and receiver – The receiver can also be used plugged directly into your PC However, using the cable and adapter when in wireless mode is recommended and allows for better connectivity and easy access to the cable for recharging. The variable change is triggered in the 2nd onEvent. But the 1st onEvent is designed to break on a variable change. This is not working due to a 2nd onEvent cannot be triggered until the 1st onEvent has finished. But otherwise i know to little about Lua and its behavior.Įdit1: Added "essential script" which only describes the needed core-functions. If i could somehow run a looping check on while still be able to trigger the onEvent-function, i can make this work. The script seems to get executed once at load (example on switching mouse-profiles) and then the onEvent-function listens. There would be also the possibility to transfer the LGHUB-macro (essentially its just pressButton A and leftclick for 40s then release the buttons) but that doesnt solve the problem (at least i cant find a solution within this) with the function being stuck in the loop and no way to break it.įor example, if MouseButton11 triggers a loop and i press MouseButton10, the $arg variable does not change to 10 but stays at 11 because the script-pointer(?) is still in the loop instead of triggering the onEvent function. The script doesnt stop and wait if it encounters 'PlayMacro()', also this API-Function has no return value to just attach lua actions to the PlayMacro-function. My current idea is to break that with a coroutine but iam not sure how to continue while no key-input is happening. I also want to break that macro if i hit another button while the macro is running.īUT if i loop the mouse-movement, i cannot trigger another onEvent-function because the script-pointer(?) is still stuck in my loop. So I'm looking for a possibility in Lua to 'run a loop independent' which does not stop the execution of the rest of my script (to check if a status variable has changed). There is no function for checking if a macro is currently running to just loop and stop the lua-side. The script is running a LGHUB macro while i want to attach mouse movement to that macro while it is running. Unfortunately the Lua-API is really restricted with debug, io and file not working (source: ) I recently picked up Lua while making a macro script for my LG mouse. Yearning for more velocity? Look no further than Turbo Overkill’s Everlasting Mode. These moments are rare, and when they do appear, they deliver delightful surprises. Something to interrupt the ceaseless back-and-forth between speed and frenzy. It’s all about adrenaline and velocity, yet at times, a pause in the rhythm seems inviting. The game propels you forward at breakneck speed, launching into arenas teeming with jump pads and adversaries. Within this whirlwind, a touch of irony emerges. Personal favourites? Power-ups, particularly the power-fist that flattens mutants with style. There’s even space for piloting ships and speeding on bikes with mounted miniguns. When equipped with a variety of weapons, it’s like handling a deck of cards, each capable of creating utter chaos. The pace is relentless, weaving in moments of platforming that involve leaping, dashing, and grappling. As the game progresses, Johnny’s ascent feels more like a sluggish climb than a triumphant rise. It’s a letdown that such a gem doesn’t get more screen time. However, a late-game treat arrives in the form of a rail gun, allowing teleportation into enemies for an explosive finale. Some of the cooler features, like the grappling hook and slow-mo function, arrive later than expected, dampening the initial excitement. And prepare for some old-school key hunting to unlock new sections – feels straight from the Quake playbook.īut as Turbo Overkill gears up for its 1.0 launch, it encounters a hurdle. You’ve got to keep moving or you’re toast. The action is crazy, Quake-level madness. It’s like a pixel party you don’t want to miss. Big explosions and even bigger carnage, turning adversaries into pixelated chaos. Turbo Overkill’s visuals give off that 16-bit vibe, like Blade Runner and Doom in one, but with a modern touch courtesy of Unreal Engine 5. The fights become a chaotic symphony of sorts, where the chainsaw leg takes centre stage, creating a thrilling spectacle like riding a river of blood while dissecting entrails.īut wait, there’s more! Swing around like a certain wall-crawler with a grappling hook, go all ethereal while running on walls, and even slide off your air car onto unsuspecting foes. Each area is meticulously designed with platforms and edges to enhance the gameplay. Imagine navigating through various settings – gritty streets, futuristic sewers, neon-drenched corridors. Nostalgia’s cool, but sometimes, pulling too hard on those reins slows things down more than intended. However, it’s not all smooth sailing the breakneck tempo takes a hit. The game pays homage to FPS classics like Doom and Quake by going the episodic route. Turbo Overkill now unfolds in three acts, loaded with fresh weaponry, adversaries, and other treats to keep players engaged. You can even upgrade your weapons and abilities with the cash you earn. Plus, there’s the Hero Time move for some time-slowing action, reminiscent of Max Payne. And if that’s not enough, there’s a full arsenal to choose from, including Twin Magnums and a teleporting sniper rifle called the Telefragger. Those arm rockets and leg chainsaws (aka Cheg) aren’t just for show. Thankfully, Johnny’s got some tricks hidden away. Not only does Johnny have rival bounty hunters on his tail, but the city is swarming with Syn’s cronies. Our main man Johnny’s buried in debt and desperate, but here’s the scoop – he’s a gun for hire, and if he can knock Syn out of Paradise, his debts are history.īut it’s no cakewalk. Imagine this: Johnny’s back in his hometown, now transformed into a nightmare thanks to an evil AI, Syn, in control. Published by Apogee Entertainment, the folks responsible for hits like Duke Nukem and Rise of the Triad, this game has solid origins. Think arm rockets and a hidden leg chainsaw (dubbed the Cheg) for some serious enemy slicing. Johnny Turbo is like a blend of machine and human, with some serious madness thrown in. The masterminds behind this game are Trigger Happy Interactive, and they’re pulling no punches. Meet the lead character, Johnny Turbo – a moniker that carries some street cred. With the release of Episode 3 Part 1 or “The Final Episode” also comes the official 1.0 Patch of the game which aims to fix a lot of the bugs which have been plaguing the game since it touched Steam.īut before we get into the thick of it, I should introduce Turbo Overkill. Turbo Overkill is a game that’s been around for about a year now but has been in Beta until now. And as per usual, the soundtrack has classical music at its core, but includes entries from every musical genre imaginable.Lonely Mountains: Downhill Steampowered Lonely Mountains: Downhill (Switch)īest for: Fans of mountain bikes and chasing high scores There’s the musical rally event to make sure you get the hint – it’s right at the beginning, in the tutorial. Also, GT7 retains the series’ close association with music, and the soundtrack is excellent. Currently, there’s no 120Hz mode and it’s doubtful Polyphony Digital will add one in the near future.Īs for cars, GT7 has a good roundup of over 400, which isn’t a lot next to the competition, but more than enough to get the job done very nicely. It’s a lot more responsive in this mode, and allows you to better enjoy the nice selection of tracks from around the world. Still, GT7 looks very nice, and we recommend the frame rate mode, despite its lower detail settings. It continues to surprise us that machines as capable as the PS5 and Xbox Series X need compromises to reach 4K 60Hz in many titles, seeing as comparable PC hardware does so quite easily. The prioritize frame rate mode employs upscaled 4K and 60Hz. The ray tracing mode indeed looks very nice, with full 4K and intricate reflections as well as an overall bolder look, but it’s locked to 30Hz. In terms of graphics modes, on PS5 you choose from prioritize frame rate and prioritize ray tracing. We also have the overall impression that GT7 had to balance PS4 and PS5 versions without allowing the newer console to make full use of its much greater performance and power. If you’re used to Forza titles, then you’ll quickly notice that cars in GT7 as per franchise rules show little to no physical damage no matter how badly you crash them into walls and other cars. It’s about on par with Forza Motorsport 7, which released a while back. With regards to graphics, GT7 looks good but not spectacular in our opinion. The core of the game revolves around your career as a new Gran Turismo driver, and you can opt for a guided experience with menus from the café that have you collecting specific cars via winning races. And we’ve missed that something different. From classical music to sweet, not trying to be cool writing, GT7 brings something quite different from Forza Motorsport, Forza Horizon, GRID, and Need for Speed. And we don’t mean to sound stereotypical, but GT7 has something the competition over at Xbox and PC lacks, and that’s the unique charm of Japanese productions. You simply select a location and go there directly rather than manually drive there. However, Grant Turismo 7 isn't an open world game with free roam like Forza Horizon 5. These include a used car dealership, the track center where most races are located, a brand center, upgrade shop, and of course the chilled-out café. The rate at which Gran Turismos launched slowed over the years, but GT7 is really a return to top performance.Īfter a short tutorial, you’re introduced to the world of Gran Turismo 7, which is an overhead map of locations. The series, developed by Polyphony Digital, began in 1997 on the original PlayStation and reached the peak of its popularity with regular releases on the PS2. It also celebrates the 25 th anniversary of Gran Turismo. GT7 immediately feels familiar to anyone who’s been a Gran Turismo player at any point. You can find out how to avoid them below. Performance cookies and advertising cookies Let’s find out what features Windows Defender has at our disposal. As a rule of thumb, an outstanding antivirus program should offer all the necessary features, so that you don’t have to buy other tools and utilities separately. Learning about the features of an antivirus product is an excellent way to assess the software’s overall usefulness. In terms of user-friendliness, however, Sophos has an edge over Windows Defender. In terms of malware protection and system performance, Windows Defender is a better pick over Sophos. Sophos offers more security-related features and extra utility tools in its security products than Windows Defender. Winner: N/A. Windows Defender offers only free version, which is why comparison cannot be made in the pricing section. Winner: Sophos. Sophos is much easier to navigate and allows remote management. Winner: N/A. Once again, Sophos didn’t take part in independent tests and comparison is not possible. Winner: N/A. A fair comparison is not possible because of Sophos’ absence from both key evaluations. Winner: Sophos. Sophos comes with more feature-rich suites than Windows Defender. A Quick Rundown of Winners in Each Category In a rush? Take a glance at the following section to know which antivirus product performs better in each category. In this in-depth guide, we will compare Windows Defender and Sophos using different key metrics to find out which of them is a better choice for you. If you want full-on identity protection and don’t mind paying more, Norton 360 with LifeLock Select (currently at 35% off) gives those in the US a full range of identity protection features, more backup space (100GB), as well as all the above. You can cover up to 5 PCs, Macs, smartphones or tablets with this suite. It is competitively priced and comes with almost everything you could possibly ask for, such as a firewall, a fully integrated VPN, dark web monitoring, cloud backup storage (50GB), a password manager, and parental controls. Overall, Norton 360 Deluxe (currently at 70% off) is our pick for the best antivirus suite in 2021. Its products combine top-notch security with an array of excellent security features and, best of all, offer exceptional value for money. It regularly earns perfect or near-perfect scores from independent labs and has the least impact on system performance compared to rival products. Right now, we think that Norton is the best antivirus software your money can buy. We did this so you can confidently choose the best antivirus software to protect yourself and your family. Installing a reliable antivirus program, therefore, is the only way to protect ourselves against all sorts of malware threats, including viruses, worms, Trojan horses, spyware, rootkits, etc.ĭuring the past few months, we have ranked, rated, and reviewed 40 premium antivirus suites from the biggest names in cybersecurity. In the United States alone, more than eight million computers were infected with malware last year. Global malware volume hit 10.52 billion last year, which can tell us a lot about the threats we face today. In fact, you don’t always have to make a mistake to be a cyberattack victim, mainly because of the sheer number of malware attacks and the evolving techniques adopted by hackers. One single mistake from our side can land us in trouble. The bad guys are always on the look to steal our valuable data, photos, and financial information. There’s no denying that the Internet has radically transformed our lives – of course in a positive way – and we can’t even imagine how life would be like without the Web.įrom acquiring knowledge to communicating with loved ones to paying bills and doing online shopping, the Internet governs almost all aspects of our life.īut the Internet can be our worst enemy if we take it for granted. Read this ultimate Windows Defender versus Sophos comparison to make a smart decision. Windows Defender or Sophos, which antivirus software is a better option in 2023? If you’re in a browser, this is particularly easy. You can enter your existing credentials and click on a button to store them in the password manager.īut because one of the important features of a password manager is to create stronger passwords, the best plan is to log in, go to the site’s “change your password” page, and have the password manager create and store a new, much stronger password for the site. If you’re setting up a new online account, you can click on a button or two to have your password manager generate a password for that new account. But more often, it will probably be an account you’ve already set up-your email or bank account, let’s say. If you’ve turned off the auto-fill feature in your browser or your password manager, you can open your password manager manually using the desktop app, another browser tab, or the browser extension. Whenever you open the log-in window of a website, say from Netflix or your bank, you should be able to click on an icon to open your password manager. Now that you have all of the software set up, you’re finally ready to use the password manager for what it’s designed to do: Create and store log-in credentials for all your many online services. Just make sure not to lose it because in most cases, you won’t be able to get into your password manager without it.ĭuring setup, some password managers will prompt you to turn on multifactor authentication, and we encourage you to do so. A sticky note on your desktop computer saying “password manager password” is probably a bad idea if you share your office space, but jotting it down in a notebook stored somewhere safe at home is probably fine. You’ll need to memorize this password, but it’s also fine to write it down. Just make sure it’s at least 16 characters long. Because you’ll need to enter it often, it’s best to avoid random symbols and letters and use a complete sentence or series of words instead. You’ll want to make sure this password is strong because it’s the key to all of your other passwords. This is one password that your password manager can’t store for you. One of the first things you’ll be asked to do is create a strong master password. From here, the steps will vary a bit depending on which service you use. If you try a password manager and find that it doesn’t offer the features you’re looking for, you can always upgrade to the paid version or export your data to another password manager.Īfter deciding which password manager to use, go to the company’s website and create an account. And Dashlane’s free version allows you to store up to 50 passwords, but only on a single device.ġPassword doesn’t have a free version, but it offers a free 14-day trial. For example, Bitwarden’s free password manager options don’t include the paid version’s feature that identifies weak or reused passwords. Keeper’s free version lets you generate passwords on your mobile device but doesn’t give you desktop, web vault, or browser extension access, and it doesn’t auto-fill passwords on your behalf. The free options are more limited in features. These include Bitwarden, Dashlane, and Keeper, which have free and paid options. We use many separate tests and diagnostic tools to take an in-depth look at everything, including each password manager’s resistance to known hacking techniques, whether they collect user data for their own marketing purposes, and whether they have features that flag passwords you’re using if they have been discovered in a data breach.ġPassword is the only password manager that earns Excellent scores in all three areas, but we also recommend several others that receive Overall Scores of Very Good. Consumer Reports evaluates password managers based on three broad criteria: privacy, security, and ease of use. I also eventually realized that I was still giving a company all of my search queries, and companies are eventually too greedy to trust. The fact that they also get most of their results from Bing also subtracts points. Then, they decided that they were the arbiters of truth, and they'd start censoring "Russian disinformation campaigns." Because apparently that's important to them. I mained it as my search engine for a long while because it was better for privacy, and it gave me my choice. * A focus on Privacy, simplified, which means working continuously on not breaking websites while still protecting you as much as we can, and keeping the interface clean and sleek. * Our Email Protection integrated natively. * New feature: Fire Button, one click data clearing for tabs, windows, sites, or everything. * New feature: automatic cookie consent pop-up manager, which not only hides these but also makes sure to select the most private options before doing so (if you don't do that you can be subject to more tracking). * New feature: Duck Player, a YouTube player that helps protect your privacy (no targeted ads, no influencing your recommendations, etc.) community feedback, and we believe this approach is ultimately better and leads us to study and block new tracking techniques faster. More generally our web tracking protections are based on our open source crawler vs. This includes a bunch of protections not offered by most other browsers and extensions by default (e.g., embedded facebook content protection), or more robust versions of them (e.g., our HTTPS everywhere list is orders of magnitude bigger). Here's a tl dr for you on "why do I need a new browser" from the post: Otherwise Firefox and Brave are excellent and cross-platform. If you want a WebKit browser, Safari with the AdGuard extension blocks ads and trackers, has extensions including more password manager options, and has its own email relay feature. In my opinion there isn't much reason to use DDG Browser unless you really like the fire button. Plus it uses WebKit so theoretically it should be fast and battery efficient like Safari. It's a really nice compromise between "save everything until you delete everything" and "incognito mode" that I wish other browsers would adopt. That said, it has a cleaner interface than Brave, and it has that fire button from DDG Mobile that deletes everything except for cookies on sites you "fireproof". On YouTube, it can't block the ads unless you open in the "Duck Player" (a page where it embeds the video). My local newspaper's site has grey boxes where the ads would be without content or DNS blocking. It's just blocking common tracking domains and elements, so you don't get (much) cosmetic filtering and some ads will still show up. DDG isn't doing uBO level ad blocking like Brave does. Where you can't use security codes, use app passwords If you're looking for info about changing, removing, or updating the alternate email address or phone number where you get security codes, follow the steps in either Security info & verification codes or Replace your Microsoft account security info. Instead of receiving one security code to verify your identity, though, you'll receive two. To reset your password, follow the steps in How to reset your Microsoft account password. If you forget your password when you have two-step verification turned on for your account, you can reset your password as long as we have two ways to contact you, like one of the alternate contact email addresses or phone numbers that you used when you turned on two-step verification.ĭepending on what security info you have added to your account, this requirement might mean entering a security code from your authenticator app and entering a security code that was emailed to your backup email account. Reset your password when two-step verification is turned on Note: As part of setting up this account, you’ll be given a QR code to scan with your device this is one way we ensure you are in physical possession of the device you are installing the Authenticator app to. Under Two-step verification, choose Set up two-step verification to turn it on, or choose Turn off two-step verification to turn it off. Go to the Security basics page and sign in with your Microsoft account. When you sign in on a new device or from a new location, we'll send you a security code to enter on the sign-in page. For more info about the authenticator app, see How to use the Microsoft Authenticator app. Two-step verification begins with an email address (we recommend two different email addresses, the one you normally use, and one as a backup just in case), a phone number, or an authenticator app. When two-step verification is turned off, you will only have to verify your identity with security codes periodically, when there might be a risk to your account security. If you turn on two-step verification, you’ll get a security code to your email, phone, or authenticator app every time you sign in on a device that isn't trusted. What happens when you turn on two-step verification For that reason, we strongly recommend you have three pieces of security info associated with your account, just in case. Or if you lose your contact method, your password alone won't get you back into your account-and it can take you 30 days to regain access. This means that if you forget your password, you need two contact methods. Important: If you turn on two-step verification, you will always need two forms of identification. Please do not leave animals at the shelter after business hours. We hope you enjoy your visit here and will come to see us soon! "Love, License, and Leash your pet!" Leaving Animals Several times a year the shelter hosts events that we invite the public to attend including an Open House and Bring Your Child to Work Day (check our Upcoming Events page for dates and times!) We also provide educational programs for schools and other interested groups, promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter practices. In addition, the GCAS has a Rabies Control program that is responsible for animal bite surveillance, animal quarantine, and specimen preparation for testing. We work with the local Police Department for animal cruelty issues and other animal shelters and animal control units to help out-of-county residents in contacting the proper departments for help. Our Animal Control Unit is comprised of Animal Control Officers who have been certified by the New Jersey State Department of Health and perform animal control duties for the 24 municipalities of Gloucester County. The shelter staffs 29 employees who provide services in two ways: Animal Control services and Animal Shelter services. The Animal Shelter functions as an impoundment and adoption facility for the public, handling over 3,000 domestic animals per year. This addition includes 22 cat cages and 7 dog runs.Ĭurrently, the GCAS has 64 kennel runs for dogs and 200 cats cages. In 2018, we broke ground to build a 2,200 square foot Animal Control Office/Triage facility. We opened Gloucester County's first-ever low-cost Spay/Neuter clinic in 2015 when we added a 4,000 square foot facility to provide low-cost spay/neuter services. In 2002, we completed our first expansion which gave us an additional 1,500 square feet and a larger adoption area. Since our inception, the GCAS has had multiple expansions to comply with state laws and address the needs of animals. In 1994, the Gloucester County Board of Commissioners designated the shelter and its services as the Department of Animal Shelter, operating independently of other departments. The GCAS operated as a division of the Gloucester County Health Department to address the growing rabies problems in the early 1990s. Under the direction of the Gloucester County Board of Commissioners and with guidance from the Animal Shelter Advisory Committee and the County Health Department, the Gloucester County Animal Shelter ( GCAS) became operational in July 1990 with the completion of the Animal Shelter building in Clayton. |
